With Molloy in the goal and Marshall on the wing;

Hannick on the right wing and Ruane on the back,

Jackson on forward line to lead the big attack.

As they march around the field with Naughton in command,

They’re musically escorted by Tommy Jordan’s band,

Kennedy gets a kick, awarded as a free,

Instead of clattering the goalie he tatooes the referee.

Diamond gets the ball, and away he’s on a run,

“Let him go,” said Sweeney, “I’ll creel him with the thumb,”

Ruane gets the ball and bravely scores a goal;

Up jumps Jim Flynn and says “the game is sold!”
